Fertility preservation

Gender affirming hormone therapy with testosterone or estrogen can cause infertility. Surgery to remove the testicles and ovaries will also result in infertility. If you are interested in learning more about options for egg and sperm banking, speak to your Care Pathway Center care team so you can be referred to an appropriate fertility preservation specialist.
